Beaches and places to visit in Milos

Kleftiko: stacks in a sea with breathtaking reflections, caves all to be explored that can be reached from the sea but also by an undemanding walk of about 45 minutes. By any means you wish to reach it, this place will remain in your heart.

Sarakiniko: A stretch of the north coast is characterized by wind-smoothed white rocks. A lunar-looking, wild and blindingly magical place to visit on becalmed days but also when the wind is blowing fiercely. Pure wonder.

Old sulfur mine: a disused mine on a beach with incredible colors. The road will take you a while but you will be rewarded by an explosion of colors, from orange to red to rust. Bathing here will completely rejuvenate you.

Klima: colorful fishing village with boat shelters lapping at the water. Absolutely one of a kind!

Mining Museum, Adamantas: very interesting, telling the story of the mining activity so important to the past and present of the island of Milos.

Plaka: the chora, the ancient heart of Milos with its narrow streets and quaint lanes that come alive with stores and inns in summer. Go up here at sunset, you won’t regret it!

Other beaches

Gerondas: beautiful dark sandy beach, a natural cove with fabulous scenery. Arm yourself with sneakers though; the path down to the beach is quite steep.

Firiplaka: very long, beautiful, equipped beach, suitable for the whole family.

Plathiena: Beautiful equipped beach, to be enjoyed until sunset.

Agia Kiriaki: Very white beach with crystal clear water, easy to reach. Truly restful!

Papikinou: the beach closest to the town of Adamas, equipped, suitable for everyone, especially those who like a holiday atmosphere.

Firopotamos: small beach next to a fishing village. Visiting it is a must
